Do you have a stiff and painful shoulder? This could be what we call frozen shoulder.

What is frozen shoulder? Frozen shoulder (adhesive capsulitis) is a thickening and tightening of the soft tissue that surrounds the shoulder joint.

How do I treat a Frozen shoulder? A Frozen shoulder requires rehabilitation and special exercises to help the range and movement and strength of the shoulder, massage and acupuncture helps relieve the pain, anti-inflammatory medications and steroid injection can also be effective. If this fails then surgical opinion may be required.

I ask if you need to change or cancel your appointment that you give 24hrs notice. If you cannot let me know of any changes before then, you will be charged for the appointment in full.

This will depend on your specific circumstances and treatment plan. Sometimes only the initial assessment and treatment with self-management strategies is all that is required, other times such as with acupuncture or massage a course of treatment is needed.
