Is my posture causing me back pain? This is unlikely as there is no right or wrong posture, it is important to change posture regular to avoid getting stiff or tight in one position to long.

Do I need rest to help my back pain? Avoid resting long periods with back pain, it is important to stay as mobile and active as possible.

I have had back pain for a while now, do I need a scan? Most people with back pain do not require a scan, with the correct advice and treatment back pain normally resolves within a month or two.

What if I need to cancel an appointment?

I ask if you need to change or cancel your appointment that you give 24hrs notice. If you cannot let me know of any changes before then, you will be charged for the appointment in full.

This will depend on your specific circumstances and treatment plan. Sometimes only the initial assessment and treatment with self-management strategies is all that is required, other times such as with acupuncture or massage a course of treatment is needed.

I can refer you for a private scan if required through scan.com.
